UASteel: Tenor

Cy is pursuing a doctoral degree in Music Education.

Cy's statement

I've been playing pan for over a decade. And I've been part of the UASteel program for the whole time. I'm working on a very slow doctoral program, so staying a student while I work has the benefit of letting me play pan while I do, even though I do get to answer "You're still here?!" an awful lot. Yeah, still here, still playing, still a student. It's a good life, actually.

I am most at home behind a set of basses, but I'm excited to play tenor in UASteel.

I moonlight with a professional steel band called Apocalypso, as well, and try my hand at writing and arranging for pans as often as I can.
